Backend Software Developer

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated backend developer to join our team as an offshore consultant. This critical role will focus on migrating core functionality from our legacy .NET monolith to a modern event-driven architecture using Java Spring Boot microservices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design & Develop: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Leverage cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub to implement a modern event-driven system.
  • Build and deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
