We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Systems Developer to join our team.

Job Description

This role involves designing, implementing and maintaining backend services using Rust, with a focus on performance, memory usage and reliability. The successful candidate will contribute to system-level architecture decisions that support scalability and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Architecture & Development: Develop high-quality backend services in Rust, ensuring optimal performance, memory efficiency, and reliability.
  • Integration & APIs: Build and enhance APIs and data pipelines that interface with internal services, external partners, and end-users, ensuring seamless interoperability and high-quality data flows.
  • Security & Reliability: Implement best practices for secure coding, conduct thorough code reviews, and develop testing strategies that mitigate vulnerabilities, prevent regressions, and maintain system integrity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Rust Expertise: Strong proficiency in Rust programming and its ecosystem, including crates, testing frameworks, and tooling.
  • Backend & Distributed Systems: Understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
  • Performance & Concurrency: Proven experience profiling applications, optimizing performance-critical code paths, and handling concurrency safely and efficiently.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Comfortable with Git-based workflows, continuous integration, and automated testing pipelines.
Experience and Qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of software development experience, with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience coding in Rust.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
