Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer Job Description

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology.

Your duties will include reviewing and updating equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation, collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams, and understanding asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.

You will also be responsible for preventive, predictive, condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets, standardizing instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes, and having knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Experience in instrument maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of control valves, on-off valves, field instruments, and analyzer systems
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with hazard area classification and international instrumentation standards
