Our company is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant accounting records.

Job Summary:

  • Maintain accurate and compliant accounting records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and book journal entries in a timely manner to ensure accurate financial statements.
  • Perform analytical reviews of balance sheet accounts to identify trends and areas for improvement.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant who can provide expert accounting support to our business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting and experience working with SAP ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the accounting of one or more designated operating companies.
  2. Ensures accounting entries are posted in a timely manner so that account balances are properly stated.
  3. Takes ownership of the balance sheet accounts and performs analytical reviews of those accounts.
  4. Coodinates and executes month-end closing activities according to schedule and internal guidelines.
  5. Conducts quarterly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis and monthly expense variance analysis.
  6. Prepares consolidation, inter-company transactions, and reconciliations.
  7. Performs local GAAP to US GAAP reconciliations and ensures VAT and intrastat transactions are properly accounted for.
  8. Produces financial statements and reports for accuracy and prepares timely financial reports for assigned business units.
  9. Identifies country-specific legal and statutory requirements relating to tax and accounting and coordinates compliance activities.
  10. Compiles statutory accounts and income tax returns, filing with local authorities as required.

Requirements:

  • CA, ICWA, CPA certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in an international shared services environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience with SAP ERP accounting system.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
