Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial close process to ensure timely and accurate accounting of revenue per US GAAP and company policy while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Review agreements and ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Lead a team of accountants to help them professionally grow within the organization, fostering a collaborative culture and championing continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls for revenue recognition and related accounts.
  • Implement major and ad-hoc process improvements.
  • Participate in completing audits.
  • Support in preparing and analyzing revenue data for stakeholders.
  • Maintain daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and petty cash management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile cash and sales transactions across all outlets.
  • Establish sound financial policies that align with the company's operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee daily cash and sales porting from all outlets into the system.
  • Verify that the data ported is complete, verified, and error-free.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for resolving discrepancies in real-time.
  • Prepare financial documentation and reports for audits.
  • Address audit queries and ensure timely completion of audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial regulations.
  • Supervise and support the accounts team in daily tasks.
  • Provide training on accounting procedures and system updates.
  • Implement checks and balances to prevent errors or fraud.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal financial controls.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide regular MIS reports and financial insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of revenue recognition based on the requirements of ASC 606 (US GAAP) in a SOX compliant environment.
  • Proven experience in contract reviews/agreements, invoicing, and collections strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with software packages including NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, strong management skills.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
