Cloud Operations Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Operations expert to join our growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization with a passion for improving reliability and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the go-to expert for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across multiple platforms.
  • Closely track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, and highlight anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements.
  • Work with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend.
  • Leverage native tools like cloud-based monitoring platforms and third-party monitoring tools.
  • Contribute to SRE/DevOps practices by monitoring infrastructure reliability while balancing costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud services.
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads.
