Job Title: Telephony Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telephony Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our telephony infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • SIP Trunk Management: Configure, manage, and optimize SIP trunks, call routing, VoIP gateways, and PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, Avaya, Cisco).
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex SIP-based issues, including SIP registration, call setup, media negotiation, and VoIP failures.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of SIP-based communications through protocols like TLS, SRTP, and mutual TLS.
  • Call Quality Optimization: Optimize call quality by managing NAT traversal, QoS, and firewall configurations, and lead troubleshooting efforts with tools like Wireshark and SIPp.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Provide in-depth reporting and analytics on call quality, system performance, and optimizations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Telephony Infrastructure: Maintain and troubleshoot telephony infrastructure, including PBX systems, SBCs, and voice gateways, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle L3 escalations related to call failures, audio issues, jitter, and latency, analyzing SIP traces and logs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with network and security teams to optimize system performance and address SIP-related issues with telecom providers.
  • Compliance and Security: Configure and ensure compliance with SIP protocol standards and implement security measures to prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor and report on system performance, leveraging advanced troubleshooting tools and setting up dashboards for call quality analytics.
