As a Senior Academic Leader, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement within the School of Humanities and Commerce.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the school, promoting academic rigor, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the School of Humanities and Commerce, aligning with the university's overall mission and goals.
  • Oversee curriculum development, academic programs, and accreditation processes to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain a diverse and highly qualified faculty, promoting their research, scholarship, and professional development.
  • Encourage and support cutting-edge research and collaborative initiatives within the fields of humanities and commerce, securing funding and resources to enhance research initiatives.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, developing initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and success in both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in a relevant field such as psychology, finance, commerce, economics or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of academic experience in higher education, with a track record of leadership.
  • A distinguished record of research, scholarship, and professional contributions to the field of humanities or commerce.
