Job Summary

A geographic information systems professional plays a vital role in geospatial data creation and management across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage geospatial data through digitization and geocoding processes.
  • Collect, process, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of spatial data.
  • Integrate GIS solutions with existing systems and customize applications to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive GIS solutions.
  • Meet project SLAs by producing quality work within specified timelines.
  • Produce precise and accurate geospatial data.
  • Conduct field surveys as required to collect accurate geospatial information.

Required Skills and Tools:

  • Strong understanding of GIS concepts and software tools.
  • Expertise in GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo, GeoServer, AutoCAD.
  • Adaptability in participating in fieldwork and adapting to project requirements.
  • Data entry tasks and data mining related work experience.
  • Experience with satellite imagery data capturing in ARCGIS, AutoCAD, QGIS.
  • Proficiency in online software like Google Drive and Google Sheets.
  • Experience in using CAD tools.
  • Willingness to travel according to project requirements.

Experience and Education:

  • 3-5 years of experience in GIS application development and implementation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or Diploma in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
  • Certifications in GIS technologies or related areas are advantageous.
