
Privacy Program Specialist

Join a collaborative environment where professionals work together to design and implement privacy programs tailored to clients' global data protection needs. Our team members engage in all aspects of a privacy program, from conducting maturity assessments and developing policies, to assisting with individual rights requests and executing Privacy Impact Assessments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting interviews with key stakeholders to assess client data protection capabilities and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Developing policies and procedures based on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and client standards, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives.
- Assisting with individual rights requests, including timely fulfillment within specified time constraints.
- Executing and evaluating Privacy Impact Assessments to determine necessary risk remediation plans, working closely with client stakeholders as needed.
- Creating training and awareness content to educate clients on data protection best practices.
- Conducting data mapping exercises to maintain accurate records of processing activities, data inventories, flow diagrams, and Article 30 registers.
- Staying up-to-date on evolving global regulations and guidance to inform clients about areas for improvement in their data privacy practices.
- Implementing privacy technology platforms like OneTrust, BigID, or DataGrail to support clients' programs effectively.
- Overseeing the testing and remediation of website and mobile app defects for compliance with applicable privacy laws, potentially implementing integrations between platforms and other systems to automate tasks or synchronize data.
- Communicating effectively with key stakeholders and leadership regarding project status, issues, and priorities to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; IAPP or equivalent training is beneficial.
- IAPP or other relevant certifications enhance one's expertise in the field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a related field, preferably in consulting, information security, IT, or law.
- Strong consulting, interpersonal, and client relationship skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel, is crucial.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, is vital.
- Self-management and organization skills enable effective data management and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with privacy technology platforms, such as OneTrust, BigID, or DataGrail.
- Programming concepts and web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and tag managers are beneficial.
- Digital transformation expertise, specifically helping clients transition from manual processes to data-enabled methods.
- SDLC delivery models experience, especially working in blended resource pools.
