Inventory Planner

A highly skilled Inventory Planner is required to oversee centralized warehouse operations for uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules. This role involves ensuring seamless distribution to 200+ centers across India.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in inventory control, dispatch planning, vendor coordination, and process improvement for efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the accurate stock keeping of all categories – uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules.
  2. Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements.
  3. Supervise cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory.
  4. Coordinate with procurement teams for replenishment planning.


Dispatch & Logistics Operations:

This role requires the ability to plan and execute pan-India dispatches to 150 centers within defined timelines. The candidate must supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation for accuracy. Negotiation and coordination with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery are also essential.

Stakeholder Management:

The successful candidate will act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for academic, non-academic, and regional teams for dispatch requirements. They must align with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules. Escalation management related to shortages, delays, or damages is also required.

Process Compliance & Reporting:

This role involves implementing SOPs for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations. Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence is crucial. Preparation of management information systems (MIS) and dashboards for stock movement, pending orders, and aging inventory is also necessary. Identifying areas for process optimization and cost efficiency is an important part of this role.

Requirements:

  1. A strong understanding of inventory & warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS).
  2. Knowledge of pan-India logistics & dispatch planning.
  3. Analytical & problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges.
  4. Team leadership and vendor management capabilities.
  5. Advanced skills in MS Excel / Google Sheets / MIS reporting.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
  2. 4–6 years of relevant experience in inventory management & dispatch operations.
  3. Prior experience in pan-India distribution (educational sector/retail/e-commerce preferred).
