Senior Product Sourcing Manager Job Description

The Senior Product Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading the discovery and evaluation of domestic and international suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in product sourcing, planning, and category management.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends and industry developments, as well as excellent research and analytical skills. They will be able to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their ability to meet specific product specifications and quality standards, and negotiate favorable terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and identify potential suppliers, considering factors such as product quality, pricing, lead times, reliability, and sustainability.
  2. Evaluate suppliers based on their ability to meet specific product specifications, quality standards, and cost targets.
  3. Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  4. Establish and implement quality control measures to ensure that sourced products meet or exceed our standards.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
  6. Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging product opportunities.
  7. Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize product pricing.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in product sourcing (Consumer Durables).
  • Prior experience in Planning and Category Management, P&L preferred.
  • Ability to execute in rapid growth and fast-paced environments.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify process gaps and troubleshoot them.
