Facility Maintenance Director

The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for the complete management of engineering, electrical, and civil maintenance activities within a facility. The ideal candidate will support the Maintenance Department in executing preventive maintenance planning, repair estimation, vendor performance monitoring, and safety inspections.
This role requires collaboration with the Operations Department to resolve technical issues related to equipment breakdowns, improve maintenance practices, and ensure smooth facility operations. Key responsibilities include coordinating activities related to fuel and electricity management, spare part inventory, and facility compliance with safety and environmental standards.
The incumbent will also supervise a small team of maintenance technicians to ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes to reduce costs and enhance operational resilience.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate prices, manage contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, supervisors, and external partners, to achieve common goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline or certifications in Maintenance Management/Facilities Management is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in team management and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations and their application to maintenance.
