Software Quality Assurance Professional

The role of a Software Quality Assurance Professional involves ensuring that software products meet the required quality standards. This is achieved by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

About the Job

This position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in Microsoft-centric solutions, such as .NET framework, C#, SQL Server, and Visual Studio. Additionally, experience with Azure DevOps and relevant supporting tools is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design robust test plans and execute manual and automated tests to verify functional, performance, and security standards
  • Document, analyze, and report software defects and issues clearly using bug tracking systems
  • Create and maintain databases of known defects for ongoing project clarity
  • Participate in product design reviews and provide QA input on requirements, schedules, and design
  • Collaborate with developers, BAs, and customer support to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Mentor and guide QA Engineers and Jr QA Engineers, upholding standards and process
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong command of Agile/Kanban development methodologies
  • Proven application of automation tools and methods for robust test coverage
  • Skilled in performance and security testing practices
  • Capable of translating technical specifications into effective test plans
  • Clear communicator (both written and verbal) able to articulate defects, test plans, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience acting as liaison between development and business teams
