Compliance Expertise Sought

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our legal department. This role requires a lawyer with [14/18] years' relevant experience in a compliance and legal role, preferably having knowledge of essential elements of corporate compliance programs and/or advising on them.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the legal team, working closely with highly skilled members to provide compliance solutions to business. They will play a crucial role in managing technology-based enterprise-wide compliance management programs for the entire group.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and adopt whistleblower programs with global and regional reach comprised of seven pillars of efficient and effective corporate compliance programs.
  • Handle global investigations on various issues, negotiate and implement remediations.
  • Achieve corporate compliance operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to compliance plans and their reviews.
  • Exposure to key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to the company, including whistleblower regulations, anti-bribery - anti-corruption, anti-trust, confidentiality, and commensurate processes and controls.
  • Review and improve whistleblower systems, employee feedback mechanisms in close collaboration with HR teams.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct trainings and communications to enhance and grow whistleblower programs in line with best industry standards of cultural assurance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with minimum JD along with relevant experience as compliance counsel.
  • Additional qualification e.g. CA/CFA will be preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive report development experience and policy and procedure development experience in a multinational environment with cultural and ethnic diversity.
  • An interest in using technology for efficient program implementation.
  • Analytical skills relating to business processes, business data, and interpersonal relations.
  • Experience in public speaking and business presentations.
  • Knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Trade Controls etc.
  • Independent project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication skills.
  • Acceptability to innovative approaches.
  • Handling change management.
