Physiotherapy Leadership Position

The ideal candidate will provide academic and administrative direction to the Physiotherapy Department, ensuring excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development.

  • To achieve this, the candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of academic programs according to University, UGC, and statutory council norms.
  • They will also supervise curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment, as well as guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums.
  • In addition, the successful candidate will ensure effective clinical training and integration with hospital services.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic leadership to the Physiotherapy Department, aligning with University goals and objectives.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration among faculty and staff.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory regulations (UGC, State Council, University guidelines).
  • Overseeing the recruitment, mentoring, and evaluation of faculty and staff performance.
Administrative & Managerial

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy Department, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintaining accurate records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities.
  • Facilitating audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.
Quality & Compliance

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring adherence to accreditation standards.
  • Maintaining proper records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities.
  • Facilitating audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.
Stakeholder Engagement

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building strong relationships with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies.
  • Organizing workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance learning exposure.
  • Engaging with parents, students, and alumni to strengthen institutional reputation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy education, pedagogy, and healthcare trends.
  • Ability to balance academics, clinical, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Research-oriented mindset with publications in reputed journals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: MPT / Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role.
