Job Overview

The Birla Copper Unit at Dahej is a complex operation with multiple processes and technologies. The unit manufactures refined copper, CC Rod, and by-products such as Sulphuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Di-Ammonium Phosphate, Gypsum, Copper slag, Fly Ash, Precious Metals like Gold and Silver.

This role involves procuring automation consumables and spares, as well as automation and safety equipment, to support operations. It also requires storage and delivery of these materials in accordance with required specifications within the required time.

This job post offers a unique opportunity for individuals who want to develop their skills in procurement, logistics, and customer service while working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing demand forecasts and coordinating with suppliers to ensure accurate scheduling of shipments and procurement.
  • Developing effective plans for import shipment clearance, chemical procurement, and packing material procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Maintaining financial control over procurement activities and ensuring all expenses align with allocated budget.
