Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Credit Risk Manager to lead our credit underwriting and monitoring efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting policies that ensure risk-free lending.

  • Underwriting Policy Development: Formulate and implement credit underwriting policies to minimize lending risks
  • Solution Design: Design and develop solutions for credit underwriting based on different product constructs
  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with Data Science team to analyze underwriting models, validate performance, and identify areas of improvement
  • Benchmarking and Performance Monitoring: Determine performance benchmarks, identify potential breaches, and take corrective action
  • Credit Policy Automation: Automate credit policies to reduce manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop the right pricing strategy based on segmentation
  • Process Standardization: Standardize policies and processes to ensure consistency
  • Portfolio Management: Track portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Portfolio Analysis: Conduct regular portfolio analysis, recommend policy changes, and provide insights to stakeholders
  2. Risk Assessment: Identify high-risk segments, assess potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies
  3. Risk Mitigation: Take proactive steps to mitigate identified risks and maintain portfolio health
  4. Delinquency Monitoring: Monitor delinquent accounts, ensure compliance with company standards, and optimize collection strategies
  5. Process Improvement: Identify technological solutions to enhance existing processes and overall portfolio management functions
  6. MIS Analysis: Analyze various management information systems to monitor portfolio performance and risk

New Partner Integrations:

  1. Product Understanding: Understand new channel partner products, target segments, and customer journeys
  2. Data Integration: Identify required data sets, requisition data from partners, and create policy frameworks
  3. Policy Creation: Develop policies based on products, data availability, and prevailing models
  4. Data Room Exercise: Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments
  5. Policymaking: Formulate policies considering expected loss rates
  6. Policy Implementation: Oversee policy implementation, UAT, and production testing, and address bottlenecks

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Degree: Minimum postgraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, or Management from a reputable institution
  • Preferred Qualifications: BTech with MBA or equivalent
  • Risk Management Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience, with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation
  • Risk Performance Metrics: Strong understanding of risk performance metrics
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Teamwork: Ability to work closely with internal functions, including Business Development, Credit and Policy, Data Science, Legal, Technology, Operations, Collections, Customer Success, and external stakeholders
  • Data Analysis: Hands-on experience working with large datasets using data processing and statistical tools
  • Soft Skills: Data-driven approach, analytical mindset, and teamwork
