Market Risk Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Market Risk Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Risk Management Frameworks:
  • Develop and implement policies for Treasury/Investment/ALM/Liquidity risk monitoring and management.
  • Value complex financial portfolios, including Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity, and other asset classes.
  • Monitor and Analyze Risk Exposure:
  • Provide independent mid-office support for Net Open Position (NOP), Fixed Income, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Derivatives, limit monitoring, and other risk-related activities.
  • Regularly assess hedge effectiveness and monitor counterparty risk exposure.
  • Capital Charge and Counterparty Risk Assessment:
  • Implement and calculate capital charge and counterparty risk charge according to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct technical analysis of Equities, Bonds, and Money Market Funds.
  • Limit Monitoring and Reconciliation:
  • Maintain all types of limit monitoring related to Treasury activities as prescribed in internal and regulatory policies.
  • Reconcile MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals and manage margin calls under CSA arrangements.
  • Reporting and Governance:
  • Prepare timely and accurate daily and periodical reports for Board submission.
  • Enhance methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like Potential Future Exposure (PFE) and Credit Value Adjustment (CVA).
  • Review new products related to Market risk and provide risk mitigation controls.
  • Liquidity Risk and ALM Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and simulate Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR)/Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
  • Robustly monitor and report on Maturity of ALM products.
  • Set limits for Marginal Loss Absorption Capacity (MAL) / Standardized Approach for Loss Absorption (SAL) using statistical modeling techniques.
  • Generate Interest Rate Risk on the bank's book basis or via Sensitivity Report analysis like Net Interest Income (NII) and Economic Value of Equity (EVE).
  • Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Middle East banks.

  • Strong understanding of Market Risk and Liquidity Risk management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Experience with risk management systems and tools.
