Assistant Treasury Manager Job Summary

The Assistant Treasury Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Treasurer in managing treasury operations. This encompasses cash flow management, banking and credit/debit arrangements, investments/wealth management, forex hedging, CMS process, and business solutions for customer/vendor financing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of treasury functions, including cash flow management, financial instruments, risk management processes, and forex management. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team are also essential.

  • Assist in cash management, banking operations, and forex risk mitigation, including hedging.
  • Manage relationships with all financial institutions, liaising with bankers and wealth advisors.
  • Support in setting up/updating internal policies, controls, and procedures, enhancing internal processes to drive operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and monitor company cash forecasts and cash flows, manage day-to-day banking, daily/monthly cash flow, and other reporting.

Key qualifications include:

  • Treasury Knowledge: Understanding and hands-on working experience of treasury function including cashflow management, various financial instruments, risk management process, forex management, liquidity, investment/wealth management, etc.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking setup and processes, financial markets, forex, treasury risks, financial instruments, debt instruments, etc.
  • Stakeholder Management: Banking/insurance relationships and understanding of covenants, ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team, strong client relationship management and customer service skills.
