Sourcing Specialist – Renewable Energy Projects

Job Title

Procure and manage the supply chain of construction materials for our renewable energy projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure civil items locally within budget limits.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely material availability according to the construction schedule.
  • Align with the HO SCM team on procurement status, vendor approvals, and project SCM deliverables.
  • Maintain a database of local vendors for civil items and consumables.
  • Ensure procurement follows company policies, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report material inflow/outflow, consumption, and stock levels.
  • Support material reconciliation for civil items during and after project execution.
  • Coordinate logistics for safe and timely transportation of materials to the site.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation (POs, GRNs, invoices, vendor records, local contracts).
  • Assist in resolving material shortages, delays, or quality issues at the site in coordination with HO SCM.
  • Manage multiple vendors/contractors to negotiate prices & close work orders at the site level.
Requirements

We are looking for a professional with strong knowledge of civil construction materials and consumables, who is familiar with procurement practices and vendor management. A background in civil engineering or relevant SCM experience is required.

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and consumables.
  • Understanding of local procurement practices and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with procurement documentation (POs, GRN, invoices).
  • Good coordination and negotiation skills for vendor interaction.
  • Ability to work closely with the site team and HO SCM under tight timelines.
