Job Title: Dimensional Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining measurement systems, locator strategies, and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and exterior trims.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining Measurement Systems: Develop and implement measurement systems that align with styling and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensuring Robustness: Ensure the robustness of measurement systems from part fabrication to complete BiW.
  • Analyzing Functional Requirements: Analyze functional requirements of Body in White and create measurement strategies for module fitment.
  • Aligning Tolerance Concepts: Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stakeholders.
  • Performing Tolerance Stack-up Studies: Perform tolerance stack-up studies (1D, 2D, or 3D) during development to identify production risks and provide solutions through measurement strategy, alignment strategy, tolerance specification, assembly sequence, or design.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficient Understanding of 3D Tolerance Simulation Tools: Proficient understanding of 3D tolerance simulation tools, preferably 3DCS.
  • Deep Knowledge of GD&T and SPC: Deep knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Understanding of Perceived Quality: Understanding of perceived quality.
  • Familiarity with Body in White Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with Body in White manufacturing processes.
  • Working Proficiency in NX Software: Working proficiency in NX software.
