Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy that will drive excellence in all aspects of our operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant Acts, regulations, standards, and permits.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an HSE expert to join our organization and make a significant impact on our safety culture. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, preferably in the metal & mining industry, and a Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE strategies and plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct regular drills, and ensure the organization is prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels.
  • Track and report on key HSE performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance through initiatives such as audits, inspections, and benchmarking.
