Sustainability Champion

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our team as a Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) in the resources sector. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.

The HSE Leader will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive HSE strategy that aligns with our organization's overall business objectives. This includes ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• HSE Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive HSE strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate and analyze incidents to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct regular drills, and ensure the organization is prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
• HSE Training: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
• HSE Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key HSE performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field. Additional certifications are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the metal and mining industry.
• Certifications: Approved Safety Officer as per Odisha Factory Act.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Project Experience: Experience in greenfield/brownfield expansion projects.
• Compliance: Experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
