Job Title: Network Architect

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to design, implement and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for network support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architecture to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Configure and manage network devices including Cisco routers, switches, F5 load balancers, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Implement and maintain network security policies to safeguard against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support overall infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, firmware updates, and patches to ensure systems are secure, stable, and up to date.
  • Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and generate performance reports.
  • Ensure network operations comply with industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent field of study.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud networking solutions and SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI.
  • Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and implementing security policies.
  • Load Balancing: Proficiency in managing F5 Load Balancers for high availability and traffic distribution.
  • Network Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting using Python.
  • Routing & Switching: Strong understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark for network monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Protocols & Standards: Solid grasp of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
  • Security Best Practices: Understanding of network security principles, threat mitigation, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Cisco ACI DCACI or equivalent are preferred.
