Job Title: Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the processing of company payroll on a regular basis, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Maintain payroll records by gathering, calculating, and inputting relevant data in a systematic manner.
  • Develop and implement salary structures and sheets, accurately computing employee take-home salaries.
  • Coordinate leave requests and other absences from employees, maintaining transparency and fairness throughout the process.
  • Monitor and manage changes in exemptions, job status, and titles, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Adhere to established payroll policies and procedures, upholding statutory labor laws and regulations.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheets and payroll records, guaranteeing accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee salary records, respecting individual privacy and security.
  • Prepare payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review, as well as for audit purposes.
  • Oversee the investment declaration and proof submission process for all employees, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Train new joiners on how to use company software for accessing personal records, promoting efficiency and productivity.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all payroll audits, providing expert guidance and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex data.
  • Show a solid understanding of statutory compliances, including PF, ESIC, Bonus, Insurance, Minimum Wages Act, Labor Laws, and Labor Codes.
  • Excel in MS Office and HRMS System proficiency, with experience in ZOHO or similar platforms being a plus.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, working comfortably in fast-paced environments and taking direction when needed while also working independently.
