We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and executing performance test scripts using JMeter.

The successful candidate will analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and performance gaps. They will work closely with development, QA, and business teams to define performance test requirements.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and project discussions\
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure that system improvements meet performance goals\
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure thorough testing of all system components\
• Identify and escalate performance issues to the development team in a timely manner\
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing\
• Contribute to the development of performance testing strategies and roadmaps\
• Develop and deliver training sessions to colleagues on performance testing methodologies and tools\
• Automate testing processes where possible to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort\
• Use various performance testing tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, or LoadRunner to simulate large volumes of users and transactions\
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize performance-related defects\
• Implement metrics-driven decision making to measure and optimize system performance\
• Manage and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system performance\
• Develop and maintain detailed reports and presentations on performance testing activities and results\
• Support the definition of performance test automation framework and contribute to its maintenance and improvement\
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize opportunities for performance optimization\
• Implement load testing and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance under different loads\
• Stay current with industry developments and advances in performance testing methodologies and tools\
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement scalable solutions that meet system performance requirements\
• Continuously evaluate and improve performance testing processes to ensure alignment with business objectives\
• Improve the overall quality of performance testing by contributing to the development of new testing tools and methodologies\
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the application architecture, infrastructure, and technology stack to effectively plan and execute performance testing efforts\
• Proactively collaborate with the dev team to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize code for better performance\
• Partner with the SRE team to develop strategies for proactive monitoring and alerting on system performance metrics\
• Perform thorough root cause analysis of performance degradation and suggest corrective actions\
• Engage in code reviews to provide constructive feedback on code optimizations for better performance\
• Develop and deliver strategic plans to address performance challenges and drive business value through optimized systems\
• Drive continuous process improvement and innovation in performance testing and monitoring to deliver high-quality software products\
• Lead regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss ongoing performance challenges and progress towards resolution\
• Advise on best practices in performance testing and monitoring, including tool selection and deployment, process standardization, and metric-driven decision-making\
• Collaborate with the product management team to define product roadmap and feature prioritization aligned with business goals\
• Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\
• Serve as a mentor to junior team members, guiding their professional growth and ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job duties\
• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing employee training programs to enhance team performance\
• Develop and deliver customized workshops, training sessions, and conferences to share expertise with colleagues and external audiences\
• Author articles, blog posts, and whitepapers to share insights and thought leadership on performance testing and monitoring\
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in performance testing and monitoring\
• Participate in open-source projects to improve existing tools and frameworks used in performance testing and monitoring\
• Attend industry conferences and events to expand knowledge and network with peers in the field\
• Lead the implementation of DevOps practices and cultural transformation within the organization to improve collaboration and communication between teams\
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of experimentation and learning\
• Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments to ensure smooth delivery of performance testing services\
• Host community events and create internal programs to foster creativity and innovative thinking\

Responsibilities & Requirements:

For this role, we require:

• \
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with performance testing\
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, including load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing\
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve performance issues\
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field\
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or equivalent) is required\
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences\
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies\
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker)\
• Experience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)\
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing\
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines\
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills\
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills\
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools quickly\
• Self-motivated and disciplined individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously\
