Business Leader Job Description

As a dynamic and results-driven business leader, you will be responsible for driving sales, marketing, and contract management initiatives across the steel sector. You will have extensive experience in developing strategic sales plans, leading tendering processes, and optimizing end-to-end supply chain activities.

Sales & Marketing – Domestic (Steel Products)
  • You will handle Pan India domestic sales and marketing of Sponge Iron, MS Billets, and Pellets.
  • You will develop strong market presence through corporate buyers, distributors, dealers, agents, and consignment agents across multiple states.
  • You will set up depots/stockyards and consignment agents in key regions to enhance supply chain effectiveness.
  • You will focus on brand development, agent onboarding, and financial target achievement.
  • You will develop B2B marketing strategies, conduct competitive analysis, and monitor market trends.
  • You will identify target markets, formulate communication strategies, and explore ways to improve product offerings and profitability.
  • You will liaise with internal departments such as sales, distribution, and production to ensure business alignment.
  • You will manage and monitor the production of promotional materials, event participation, and marketing campaigns.
Tender & Bid Management
  • You will monitor and execute tenders and e-auctions related to Sponge Iron and Pellet Ore.
  • You will attend pre-bid meetings, coordinate customer interactions for bid clarifications.
  • You will prepare technical and price bids; attend technical and financial bid openings and negotiation meetings.
Stockyard & Logistics Operations
  • You will independently manage steel stockyards with a strong command over dispatch, excise, taxation, and yard operations.
  • You will address customer complaints and resolve issues at multiple levels.
  • You will coordinate railway logistics for high-volume movements and implement hub-and-spoke transportation models.
Contract & Commercial Management
  • You will head the contract cell, overseeing all outsourced services in manufacturing and logistics.
  • You will manage contracts related to:
  • Internal and outbound logistics
  • Railway siding operations
  • Raw material handling and plant feeding
  • Equipment and manpower supply
  • Civil repair and maintenance
  • Mining operations
  • O&M contracts and consulting engagements
