Search Engine Optimization Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly strategic, data-driven and forward-thinking Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager to lead our SEO initiatives and scale our organic search performance across platforms. This role requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, technical fluency, leadership experience and creative thinking to drive sustained traffic growth and maximize search visibility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and executing holistic SEO strategies aligned with business goals, market dynamics and digital growth targets.
  • Leading and mentoring an SEO team by setting clear performance standards and fostering continuous upskilling in technical, content and analytical SEO.
  • Staying ahead of algorithm updates and emerging industry trends to proactively adjust strategy and ensure long-term performance stability.
  • Overseeing comprehensive site audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexing, performance and structural issues.
  • Guiding web developers on SEO-friendly architecture and implementing schema to enhance page speed optimization.
  • Collaborating on SEO-first content strategies focusing on semantic relevance, keyword intent mapping and meta architecture.
  • Driving advanced keyword research initiatives using intent modeling, SERP analysis and competitive benchmarking.
  • Developing sustainable link-building strategies including digital PR and influencer outreach to build authority and enhance domain reputation.
  • Optimizing for App Store visibility and cross-platform discoverability in a mobile-first ecosystem.
  • Defining KPIs and success frameworks and building robust reporting dashboards to communicate impact and diagnose drop-offs.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A minimum 5+ years of proven SEO experience
  • An MBA in marketing is mandatory
  • Deep expertise in SEO platforms and web analytics tools
  • Proven experience managing SEO teams and large-scale SEO initiatives
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies and their implications for technical SEO
  • Experience with content management systems and e-commerce platforms
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable results and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
