Senior Associate Information Security Analyst

Job Description:
The Senior Associate Managed Services Information Security Analyst is a critical role that requires developing subject matter expertise to monitor, analyze, interpret, and report on client data for delivering security information and recommendations. This position involves security incident detection and response, security event reporting, threat hunting, content maintenance, and client interaction to ensure understanding of generated information and recommending system changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a global Cyber Defense Centre team in rotational shifts.
- Tune MSSP platform and client SIEM to enable efficient detection, analysis, and reporting.
- Monitor security tools to review and analyze security logs from client environments.
- Generate continuous improvement ideas for supported security tools and technologies.
- Adhere to SOPs, customer Run Books, and standard processes for globally consistent delivery.
- Utilize and document best practices and amend existing documentation.
- Handle security incidents from multiple vectors, including End Point Protection and Enterprise Detection and response tools.
- Ensure usage of knowledge articles in incident diagnosis and resolution.
Knowledge and Attributes:
- Developing knowledge on implementation and monitoring of SIEM or security tools.
- Developing knowledge on security architecture and different security technologies.
- Developing knowledge and understanding of modern computer systems and networks.
- Excellent customer service orientation and pro-active thinking.
- Problem solving abilities and self-organized.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Information Technology or Computing.
- Security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, or similar Certification.
Required Experience:
- Moderate level of experience in SOC Analysis Operations.
- Moderate level of experience in SIEM usage for investigations.
- Moderate level of experience in security technologies such as Firewall, IPS, IDS, Proxy.
- Moderate level of experience in dealing with technical support to clients.
