Job Description

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to head our India office, overseeing the delivery of our strategy and managing a team of 11.

This role will be based in Bengaluru with a minimum of 2 days per week commitment. As the most senior representative in India, you will lead the local office, maintain statutory compliance, hold a directorship, and ensure seamless collaboration with international colleagues.

The successful candidate will have a strong grip on financial oversight, HR, legal obligations, and cross-border reporting, playing a key role in aligning regional delivery with global priorities.

About the Role
  • Operate as legal representative and Director for all Indian entities, ensuring local laws and internal policies are upheld
  • Oversee budgeting, team management, financial planning and reporting across all business units
  • Lead and develop the Bengaluru-based team; mentor managers and foster a high-performance culture
  • Deliver against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact
  • Liaise with international teams to ensure operational alignment
  • Represent the organisation with confidence in legal, governance, and business forums
Requirements
  • Proven operational leadership in India - ideally in a professional membership body, association or similarly regulated environment
  • Exceptional understanding of governance, compliance, and HR practices
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L
  • Ability to drive strategy with warmth, rigour and agility
  • Line management experience with the gravitas to lead national delivery
