Enterprise Data Governance Specialist

Role Summary:

As an Enterprise Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of data pipelines across our data platforms. This position is crucial to our data team, supporting data governance efforts and enhancing our data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as business and technical steward for assigned data domains, fostering collaboration and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage metadata, business glossary, and data catalog entries in data governance tools, promoting consistency and standardization.
  • Work closely with data owners to enforce data definitions, classifications, and data quality rules, driving data integrity and trust.
  • Perform data profiling, issue identification, and remediation coordination, leveraging your analytical skills to resolve complex data challenges.
  • Support the onboarding of new data assets and collaborate with engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and optimal data flow.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Operations of Data Governance, with a proven track record of success.
  • Hands-on experience with Collibra, data catalogs, MDM systems, and data quality platforms, demonstrating expertise in data management and governance.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data classification practices, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  • Technical skills in SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs, and tool integration automation, showcasing proficiency in programming languages and software development methodologies.
