Senior Director of Data Engineering

This role oversees the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions on various cloud platforms.

The Senior Director will lead high-performing teams to deliver top-quality data solutions, meeting business requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the data engineering team in delivering innovative data solutions.
  • Oversee data engineering projects on multiple cloud platforms, ensuring successful execution and meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and maintain robust data governance frameworks, focusing on data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions that meet business objectives.

This position requires extensive experience in managing large-scale data projects, including ETL processes, data migration, integration, and orchestration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), data cataloging, data governance, data security, and canonical data modeling.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 18 years' experience with data platforms, cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and big data technologies.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, Snowflake, and its ecosystem.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams across multiple locations and disciplines.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
