Job PurposeMain Responsibilities:
The Store Manager at Reliance Brands Limited is accountable for ensuring that the store meets its operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales targets. This includes overseeing the store's Profit and Loss (P&L), driving profitability, managing team performance, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Operations & Profitability:
- P&L Management: Effectively manage the store's P&L to ensure profitability and achieve financial targets. Monitor and analyze store performance to identify areas for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about local market conditions, competitor activities, and emerging retail trends to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
- Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure that all operational activities comply with company policies, brand standards, and legal requirements. Uphold the highest standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and store cleanliness.
- KPI Management: Continuously monitor and review store KPIs, ensuring that all staff meet performance goals. Take proactive steps to address any areas of underperformance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- People Development:
- Talent Acquisition & Staffing: Lead the recruitment and selection process for store staff, ensuring that manpower is optimized to meet business requirements and support the stores sales plan.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to the store team to develop their skills, increase productivity, and drive store performance. Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on achieving profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Encourage and facilitate ongoing training programs for staff. Share best practices, operational insights, and product knowledge to enhance team effectiveness and support business goals.
- Succession Planning: Develop a talent pipeline for the store, identifying high-potential employees and providing career development opportunities to ensure future leadership needs are met.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Team Motivation: Lead and inspire the store team by providing clear direction, setting expectations, and motivating staff to deliver on store targets. Create a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Staff Performance: Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and conducting performance appraisals. Ensure that staff development is aligned with both business objectives and personal career aspirations.
- Problem-Solving: Address any operational challenges or staff issues promptly and effectively. Foster a solution-oriented mindset within the team and provide support where needed to maintain operational continuity.
Experience:
- Retail Leadership Experience: 5-10 years of overall retail experience, including at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail environment.
- Proven Performance: A demonstrated track record of driving sales, improving profitability, and managing a successful retail store operation.
- Team Management: Experience managing and developing a diverse team of employees, with a focus on achieving high levels of employee engagement, performance, and customer satisfaction.

- Leadership & Coaching: Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to mentor and guide employees toward achieving their potential and business goals.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities to interpret data, assess performance metrics, and identify opportunities for growth or operational improvements.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with staff, customers, and senior management. Ability to simplify complex issues and communicate them clearly across all levels of the organization.
- Multitasking & Organizational Skills: Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced retail environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure store operations run smoothly.
- Customer-Centric: A passion for customer service excellence, ensuring that every customer has a positive shopping experience.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve operational or staff-related issues quickly and effectively.
