Academic Dean Job Summary

The Academic Dean is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all academic, administrative, and financial functions within the college.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the college's strategic goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the university's vision and mission.
    • Foster innovation in teaching, research, and curriculum development.
  • Academic Oversight:
    • Oversee academic programs, ensuring they meet high standards of excellence and relevance to the industry.
    • Continually assess and improve academic programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies.
    • Lead faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation processes.
    • Promote faculty research and encourage interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • Research and Innovation:
    • Promote a strong research culture within the college, encouraging both basic and applied research.
    • Establish partnerships with industries, government bodies, and other academic institutions for collaborative research.
    • Secure funding for research through grants, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Administrative Leadership:

    • Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements and regulatory standards.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to faculty, staff, students, and academic programs.

    • Support faculty development through teaching resources, research opportunities, and career growth.
  • External Relations and Fundraising:

    • Lead fundraising and development initiatives for the college.
  • Diversity and Inclusion:
