Job Title: Cloud Services Project Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding and migration of customers into a private cloud environment. As a trusted advisor, they will support ECS customer migration from a project and program perspective, advocating for the customer and bringing the power of GCE to ensure a smooth transition.

The Project Lead will work closely with internal and external parties, including Hyperscale's and GSSP, to serve and delight customers by providing quality services that satisfy their needs and coordinating infrastructure and application complexities throughout the onboarding cycle.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project initiation: managing sales to deliver handover quality gate to initiate new tasks
  • Project planning: coordinating with consulting and customer teams to manage deliverables and projects
  • Execution: communication with all teams through the build and migration lifecycles
  • Closing: documenting and clearing open issues; project completion

The Project Lead is end-to-end responsible for the Project Management of a Release Upgrade Project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning the technical upgrade project on a detailed basis
  • Ensuring project- and phase-signoffs from the customer side
  • Managing customer and internal service requests, ensuring timely creation and alignment of additional communication if further ECS teams are involved
  • Organizing and conducting regular meetings, including standup meetings, project communication, and presenting ongoing re-alignment of the plan
  • Communicating with and between all team members and stakeholders involved in the technical upgrade project to ensure everyone is kept up to date
  • Managing overall progress and status of the technical upgrade, activity tracking of current phases, and preparing subsequent phases
  • Coordinating the PROD upgrade with relevant parties from customer and SAP ECS side

Key Skills:

  • English language skills are considered a must-have
  • Strong technical background in migration/upgrade
  • Orchestration/project management background/customer facing experience
