Overview of the Role

We're looking for a Senior Backend Systems Architect who can drive initiatives that scale our core systems, balance existing business logic with new innovations, and ensure high reliability and performance across mission-critical components.

This role requires taking ownership of complex problems, collaborating effectively with peers, and comfortably engaging in both technical and customer-facing discussions.

You will be responsible for executing technical execution for backend modules and leading delivery across the team.

You'll also work closely with DevOps to ensure production readiness with robust monitoring and alerting practices on AWS.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 7-10 years of backend experience, with recent hands-on development in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience building and scaling systems to handle high throughput, low latency, and event-driven architecture.
  • Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure components: EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, VPC, and more.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and performance tuning.
