Lead Backend Development

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Tech Lead to oversee backend development, architect scalable solutions, and drive technical excellence across projects. If you have a strong background in modern PHP frameworks, eCommerce platforms, and complex integrations, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Tech Lead, you'll take ownership of backend architecture and development, guide a team of engineers, and deliver high-performance applications. You'll work on integrations, custom solutions, and platforms like Magento, WordPress, and Shopify, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using Laravel and modern PHP frameworks.
  • Manage system integrations via REST APIs, GraphQL, EDI, and third-party services.
  • Oversee projects involving Magento, WordPress, Shopify, and related stacks.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, design, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.
  • Ensure performance optimization, code quality, and effective documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of backend development experience in PHP, with deep expertise in Laravel.
  • Experience working with Magento, WordPress, and Shopify.
  • Strong background in system integrations using APIs (REST, GraphQL), EDI, and webhooks.
  • Proficiency in:
  • PHP, Java.
  • ReactJS, Node.js.
  • MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB.
  • CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and version control (Git).
  • Cloud platforms, especially AWS.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients.
  • Flexibility to work in a small company.
