Front Desk Professional

The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • This position is responsible for providing guests with assistance at the front desk during check-in and check-out processes.
  • Able to greet guests warmly, process hotel registrations, and maintain accurate guest account details.
  • Demonstrates good open communication and rapport with all guests, recognizing return guests and ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing information about hotel accommodations, services, and area attractions;
  2. Responding to customer inquiries and arranging for requested services by working with other departments as appropriate;
  3. Maintaining current knowledge of hotel developments by reviewing and updating the communication log;
  4. Maximizing revenue and cash flow by promoting hotel services and adhering to credit and inventory control processes;
  5. Identifying and recording special billing instructions and notifying Accounting;
  6. FOLLOWING HOTEL POLICY ON CASH BANKS - Adheres to credit limits and procedures as set down by the Financial Controller.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and priorities;
  • Possess basic computer skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale systems;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records;
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.

  • Liaising with housekeeping to ensure information is passed on for room requests and special requests;
  • Balancing daily cash, transaction postings, and credit card remittance at the end of each shift;
