Lead Developer & Architect

Job Description:

Persistent is seeking a seasoned Lead Developer and Architect to design and oversee the development of scalable, performant, and user-friendly web applications that address complex business problems in travel. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in Python (Django, Flask) and React frontend technologies, combined with strong expertise in the Travel and Hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead the development of full-stack web applications using Python backend and React frontend.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python with Django, Flask, and AIOHTTP.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and asynchronous services.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Implement unit and integration tests; support CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years experience in software development with strong expertise in Python, particularly Django and Flask frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing architectures for large-scale web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in React.js for building interactive, high-performance frontends.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs.
  • Strong backend skills: RESTful API design, database modeling (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in agile development and DevOps practices.
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, microservices, event-driven architectures.
