Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This role requires a strong technical leader who can excel in people management. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead our engineering teams, combining technical knowledge of distributed systems with exceptional leadership skills.

About the Position

The successful candidate will design and architect scalable systems handling millions of transactions, lead system design reviews and technical decision-making for complex workflows, ensure system reliability, performance, and security standards meet compliance requirements, and drive technical strategy for claims adjudication, provider networks, and member management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Design and architect scalable healthcare claims processing systems.
    • Lead system design reviews and technical decision-making for complex healthcare workflows.
    • E nsure system reliability, performance, and security standards meet healthcare compliance requirements.
    • Drive technical strategy for claims adjudication, provider networks, and member management systems.
  • People Management:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers.
    • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Partner closely with Product, Data, and Operations teams on feature planning and delivery.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation roadmaps.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in engineering management.
  • Strong system design experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Hand-on coding experience - preferably in languages like Java or Python.
  • Experience with real-time processing systems and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Track record of successful large-scale system migrations or platform modernizations.
  • Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and managing technical talent.
