Commercial Leader Opportunity

We seek an experienced and skilled commercial leader to drive our commercial efforts in India.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing market opportunities, managing business operations, and setting effective positioning of our brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development Strategy
    • Contribute to the global accounts growth strategy on maximising market opportunities.
    • Determine strategies for selected markets.
    • Build share of business for bio-pharmaceuticals in India.
  • Leading Sales and Account Management
    • Lead day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses and order forecasting for production planning.
    • Grow share of business and expand relationships within customers, identifying influencers, gatekeepers, decision makers within the region of India.
    • Deploy a consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions.
    • Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from orders received to shipments dispatched as per customer requirement.
    • Coordinate with planning/production and logistics/shipping teams to ensure dispatch as per customer timelines and shipping documentations provided to the customer.
    • Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing products in untapped regions.
  • Market Research and Intelligence
    • Provide market research, market intelligence, and key information on international market trends and competition to help the division with future export strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 15 to 20 years of relevant industry experience in commercial leadership and business development (India market focus preferred).
  • High energy individual with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the negotiation and closing of partnership agreements.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong relationship management skills, strategic thinking, open-minded, and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with incomplete information.
  • Good negotiation & presentation techniques.
  • Well-versed sales techniques, consultative selling, customer psychology, and purchasing patterns.
