Project Coordinator Job Description

This role involves strategic project planning and execution of complex projects, requiring a strong understanding of project management principles, construction planning, cost control, estimating, and budget preparation. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate risk assessment, mitigation, and contingency planning.

Main Responsibilities
  • Scheduling:
    • Accountable for timely and accurate input of data, thorough review and analysis of schedules, and timely document production.
    • Provide oversight and review of construction planning and scheduling, including staffing plans, manpower histograms, and project progress measurement.
    • Develop schedules for construction, commissioning, and validation activities.
  • MIS & System Compliance:
    • Input or update activity data, logic, resources progress/expenditure information, and review of activity durations and logic sequences on master schedule.
    • Assist in providing schedule input to the monthly progress report.
    • Monitor material receipt and spool receipt closely.
    • Prepare crew movement plan.
  • Client Invoicing/Subcontract Billing:
    • Prepare cost comparison statements (planned vs actual cost).
    • Prepare cash flows.
    • Prepare Earned Value Management (EVM) statements (cost variance and schedule variance).
    • Rate analysis of major BOQ items.
    • Quantity estimation.
Document Controller Role

Maintaining project documents as per ISO and construction SOP, handling records, and maintaining discipline-wise.

Key Qualifications
  • Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules and budgets.
  • Ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team.
  • Conversant with revision of schedules with associated cost estimate preparation.
