Job Summary:

The Senior CAD Designer will play a crucial role in creating detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SolidWorks, a strong understanding of fabrication and welding techniques, and experience designing base frames, panels, enclosures, and steel structures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Interpret project briefs and customer drawings to develop manufacturable designs.
  • Create precise 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks for base frames, acoustic canopies, electrical cabinets, and portable light towers.
  • Apply a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques including material types and gauges, bend allowances and K-factors, weld joint planning and laser-friendly nesting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a CAD Designer in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks is mandatory (Part, Assembly, Drawing, Sheet Metal modules).
