Roles and Responsibilities
- Create detailed designs and drawings for sheet metal components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Develop and optimize sheet metal parts for manufacturability, considering factors such as material selection, forming processes, and tolerances.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and performance of designs.
- Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test prototypes of sheet metal designs.
- Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications based on testing results and feedback.
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Preferred candidate profile
- LOCAL CANDIDATE PREFERRED
- Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes, including cutting, bending, stamping, and welding.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
