Manufacturing Engineer Position Overview

This role involves managing the manufacturing process, ensuring it meets high-quality standards. You will be responsible for implementing and validating new processes to improve efficiency.

  • Develop, Validate and Implement Manufacturing Processes: Create, test, and refine production methods that optimize output while maintaining quality.
  • Lead CAM Deployment Projects: Coordinate with teams to deploy computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technology, streamlining processes and improving accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Tool Design Engineers: Work together with engineers and suppliers to select cutting tools and design fixtures, enhancing product quality.
  • Validate NC Programs: Use real-time simulation software to test and perfect numerically controlled (NC) programs, preventing potential issues during production.
  • Enhance CNC Machine Capabilities: Develop post processors for new CNC machines, integrating them seamlessly into existing workflows.
  • Reduce Cycle Time: Continuously explore opportunities to minimize the time required for NC program creation, aligning with lean manufacturing principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, with expertise in mechanical manufacturing environments and CNC machine shops.
  • Technical Competency: Proficiency in manufacturing concepts, including Lean Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, Poka-Yoke design, and System/Tooling Controls.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve problems related to Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost.
