Job Description:

The Manufacturing Transformation Specialist will be responsible for driving service improvement activities across the business by employing process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking. This includes working with key stakeholders and the Centre of Excellence to build a continuous improvement environment supporting manufacturing transformation, leading and facilitating WCM practices.

The role will deliver better value and efficiency through identifying unnecessary complexity in business processes and finding better ways of working. This involves developing and implementing a best-in-class continuous improvement strategy.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through project delivery via internal governance and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a standard world-class manufacturing framework across pan-India plants.
  • Work with teams to devise new support material based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • Monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively solve them.
  • Ensure business impact and project objectives are identified, reported, and managed at all times.
  • Set up programs, deliver coaching, and run projects across plants.
  • Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and improvements for future projects.
  • Continuously improve efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites.
  • Implement lean methods to increase efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
  • Take ownership of change initiatives through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Support plant teams in benchmarking, solutions, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support operations in designing, developing, and implementing policy deployment within the business.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Ensure ongoing learning and development of employees in Lean improvement tools and communication methods.
  • Coach and facilitate teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Manage cross-functional team members.
  • Communicate professionally with diverse groups.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good honors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts, Six Sigma, Lean, and value stream mapping.
  • Strong analytical, project, and product management skills.
  • Ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement/workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • End-to-End Coordinator taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery.
  • Experience in designing or implementing a continuous improvement framework.
  • Hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
