Job Opportunity: Banquet Manager

A prestigious hotel in Chennai is seeking a highly skilled and organized Banquet Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of exceptional banquet experiences for their discerning clients.
As a key member of the hotel's events team, you will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations, controlling costs and quality of services, preparing venues, and ensuring seamless meal service.

Banquet Manager Responsibilities:

1- Collaborate with the Sales Director and Chef to discuss sales contract details and ensure smooth event execution.

2- Plan and design venue layouts to accommodate varying guest counts and event types, guaranteeing a memorable experience for all attendees.

3- Determine and coordinate the required table staff, servers, and equipment to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.

4- Oversee the meticulous setup of tables, chairs, linens, decorations, utensils, and serving stations to create an inviting atmosphere.

5- Work closely with the Head Chef to synchronize meal courses, guaranteeing prompt and satisfying service.

6- Ensure seamless guest seating, meal and beverage service, and timely clearing of tables, promoting excellent customer satisfaction.

7- Manage inventory levels of beverages and soft drinks as needed.

8- Prepare and distribute work schedules, complete documentation, and maintain accurate records in a timely manner.

9- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing questions, and accommodating special requests to foster a positive reputation.

Banquet Manager Requirements:

1- Proficiency in catering management software, such as Better Cater and Caterease, to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

2- Excellent ability to plan banquets, manage budgets, and meet deadlines, ensuring successful event outcomes.

3- Proven experience in supervising banquet venue staff, demonstrating effective leadership and teamwork skills.

4- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales Directors and Chefs.

5- In-depth knowledge of catering equipment, venue requirements, and hospitality industry best practices.

6- Comprehensive understanding of hospitality industry standards and regulatory compliance.

7- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
