About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team. This key position will play a vital role in helping us optimize cloud costs and improve overall efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud financial management, cost optimization practices, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment. They will be responsible for advising on cloud cost management strategies, providing insights into common FinOps use cases, and collaborating with our engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in AWS cost management (multi-cloud experience is a strong plus) and relevant FinOps certifications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on cloud cost management strategies across AWS (mandatory), and optionally GCP & Azure.
  • Provide insights into common FinOps use cases such as showback/chargeback, forecasting, budget guardrails, anomaly detection, rightsizing, and workload optimization.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.
  • Share expertise in cost allocation, tagging strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Highlight gaps in current market tools and suggest opportunities for differentiation.
  • Guide adoption of FinOps best practices in alignment with the FinOps Foundation principles.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–6+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, or Cloud Financial Management.
  • Strong practical expertise in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, and Budgets.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner / Advanced Practitioner certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience implementing chargeback/showback models, forecasting, and cloud governance.
  • Solid technical understanding of cloud architecture and usage drivers (compute, storage, networking).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (Finance and Engineering).
