The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining reliability and performance. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cost-efficiency into our engineering practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and usage across environments.
  • Collaborate with SRE teams to develop and implement automation tools that track cost and reliability metrics.
Cloud Cost Optimization Responsibilities:
  • Analyze cloud spend and usage patterns to identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and enforce cost allocation models and chargeback mechanisms.
  • Use cloud cost management tools to generate actionable insights.
Analysis & Reporting:
  • Build dashboards and reports using data analytics tools to visualize cloud costs and trends.
  • Present cost-performance analysis to stakeholders in simple, understandable terms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, finance, and procurement teams.
  • Translate technical requirements into financial implications and vice versa.
Key Requirements
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and variable spend frameworks.
  • Ability to build and interpret BI dashboards (data visualization tools).
